Every stripe unlocks longer sectors and bigger metal. Rank is earned purely by logged Infinite Flight hours.
Cadet
0 – 50 hours
First Officer
50 – 130 hours
Senior First Officer
130 – 300 hours
Captain
300+ hours
Activity requirements
Minimum 1 flight per month to remain active
Inactive pilots may be demoted
Leave of absence may be requested via Discord
All flights must be flown on the Expert server
Hours are logged through PIREPs submitted after each Infinite Flight session, from pushback to on-blocks.
How a promotion happens
The Chief Pilot verifies your PIREPs. Once your verified total crosses a threshold, the promotion is issued at the next roster review — usually within a week — and announced on Discord. No test or check-ride is required.
What counts as an hour
Block time on a scheduled AAVG sector flown on the Expert Server with the correct carrier callsign, livery and aircraft type. Casual flights, other virtual airlines and Training Server time are not credited.
Sector limits in practice
Limits use the published block time of the flight number, not your actual flight time. If a sector exceeds your limit, dispatch will decline the PIREP — with the exception of event flights, where staff may grant a one-off approval.
